Granite Community Bank Holds Grand Opening Celebration

On March 6, 2014, Granite Community Bank in Cold Spring, MN held their grand opening celebration. The new bank building was completed by Shingobee this past December. The grand opening allowed bank customers and community members to come enjoy a buffet meal and check out the new bank building.

Shingobee Builders and MNOSHA Compliance Sign Partnership Agreement

Shingobee Builders, Inc. and Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA) signed a Cooperative Compliance Partnership agreement on August 14, 2013. Officials from Minnesota’s Department of Labor and Industry (DLI), MNOSHA Compliance, Associated Builders and Contractors Minnesota chapter (MN ABC), and Shingobee Builders, gathered at Shingobee’s Loretto office to mark the initiation.

Xcel Energy Montrose Service Center Achieves LEED Certification

The Xcel Energy Service Center in Montrose, MN, which Shingobee provided as a build-to-suit project for Xcel Energy, Inc. in 2011, has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The project’s final LEED rating reflected 40 documented and approved points, corresponding to the Certified certification level under the LEED for New Construction.

Shingobee’s Jon Fahning Appointed to Capitol Board

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton recently announced the appointment of Jon Fahning, Shingobee’s Vice President of Real Estate Development, to a four-year term on the Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board. Fahning’s appointment fills a general public position on the Board, which includes representatives appointed by the Governor, City of St. Paul, and the Minnesota Legislature.

Olive Garden in Baxter MN Opens October 8

Shingobee is putting the finishing touches on a new Olive Garden restaurant in Baxter (near Brainerd) in northern Minnesota, as they prepare for an October 8 opening. The restaurant is located in a new retail development area of Baxter, near several major national retail stores like JC Penney, Wal-Mart, and Home Depot.
