Being a general contractor in Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and the Upper Midwest in general has its perks. Here are our top four best things about our industry:

The People

The people here in Minnesota and the Midwest are great to work with. Our clients are often very friendly and excited to begin their projects, and that helps us get excited right along with them! The term “Minnesota nice” applies to a lot of our client relationships, but people are also ready to get down to business. That combination of niceness and business-mindedness makes building commercial projects in the upper Midwest a really special and fulfilling business to be in.

The Projects

There are some really fantastic architects in the area who are always going above and beyond in terms of design. It’s been really fun for us to see design and building material changes over our more than 30 years of experience. The shift toward green building has also been really excited to watch and grow with. We’ve worked on many green projects now throughout the Midwest!

The Weather

What? Isn’t it freezing in Minnesota? Not always! The summer here is beautiful, and we love the abundance of lakes and parks. Yes, it might be more difficult to work on some construction projects when it’s below zero outside. However, our cold winters allow for some really neat designs in regards to heating and coziness, such as fireplaces and cozy booths in restaurants and some other rustic-type designs.

The Relationships

Having been in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest for over 30 years, we’ve had the opportunity to create long-term relationships with many companies and design firms. We count many of Minnesota’s leading private companies and developers among our best customers, as well as many of the Tribal communities in the region.
