Shingobee Builders will be attending CENEXPO 2018, which takes place Monday, June 18 through Tuesday, June 19 at the Denny Sanford Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The convention is a free, two-day educational and networking event. Cenex, the retail brand of CHS, Inc., offers more than 1,400 locations across 19 states.

Shingobee Vice President Tony Godlewski was one of several interviewees quoted in a recent article by Dan Heilman for the Finance & Commerce publication. The article discussed the many challenges contractors face when providing renovations or expansions in existing facilities, and the extra planning and consideration required when those are senior housing facilities.

Shingobee’s experience with construction of financial facilities – banks and credit unions – is among the best in the region, with a resume of 68 new-construction and remodel projects to date. We have been fortunate this year to work with several community banks in Minnesota to upgrade their existing facilities.

Work has been progressing through the winter on the addition and remodel of the hospital in Tioga, North Dakota. The initial portion of the project experienced delays caused by utility service relocations, contaminated soils, and steel delivery delays. But since then, sufficient time has been made up to bring the project back on schedule.

Construction was recently completed on the addition of a new Short-Stay Rehabilitation and Wellness Center at Ecumen Detroit Lakes. The project is a key component of what is envisioned as an innovative “one-stop aging services hub” that integrates technology, socialization, fitness, nutrition and health care to help keep seniors in rural Becker County healthier.

Shingobee has begun work on one of our most interesting, unique interior renovation projects in recent memory. Clockwork Active Media, a creative Internet media design company, has been looking to expand its office space, and leased space in a run-down industrial building near its current offices in northeast Minneapolis.

Shingobee is nearing completion of a major remodel of 186,000 square feet of interior office space located in four buildings of the Corporate Campus for Kroll Ontrack, an Eden Prairie based ediscovery and data recovery company.
