Shingobee has provided brand refresh, remodels, and tenant improvements for TCF Bank in several locations.
The remodel at 50th & Drew in Minneapolis (shown) involved conversion of a 3,600 square foot former Dairy Queen restaurant into a retail branch bank, with an implementation of TCF Bank’s new brand prototype. This required a total renovation of the building interior to provide a banker bar, lounge, and conference rooms to support TCF’s customer-centric experience.
Work on the tight urban site required careful orchestration of the trades working simultaneously on the interior and exterior. Deliveries also required planning due to limited lay down area and busy streets.
Design and construction schedules were compressed in order to maintain the existing drive-up service window that would have lost grandfathered status if the bank was not operational within six months of project approval. The project was completed on schedule in January 2018.
