Construction
At Shingobee Builders, Inc., we are the commercial contractor that stands above all others in the industry with our experienced team and innovative approaches to age-old construction setbacks. Our leaders provide the best commercial construction services and manage each project with close supervision and effective communication, all while ensuring our team members and subcontractors are instilling safe construction practices while on each job site.
Shingobee has entered into a Cooperative Compliance Partnership agreement with Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA).
Provided under an agreement between MNOSHA Compliance and the Minnesota Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (MN ABC), the partnership recognizes contractors where managers and employees work together to develop safety and health management systems that go beyond basic compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, resulting in immediate and long-term prevention of job related injuries and illnesses.
To date, six of Shingobee’s projects have participated in the Partnership inspection program: Phalen Village in St. Paul, MN (2019); Residence Inn in Eagan, MN (2018); Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Woodbury, MN (2018); the Courtyard Marriott in St. Louis Park, MN (2017); Paradise Car Wash in Maple Grove, MN (2014); and International School Residence Hall in Eden Prairie, MN (2013).
Shingobee Builders was the first company to achieve Level 3 Cooperative Compliance Partnership under MNOSHA’s partnership program with the Minnesota chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors. Level 3 is the peak level of such partnerships, with applicants striving to be an industry leader with a very comprehensive safety and health program.
“Shingobee Builders is honored to be partnering with Minnesota OSHA on this important safety initiative. As a company, we place a high priority on safety at our jobsites. We look forward to working in cooperation with the MNOSHA team to improve our site safety programs, and educate our employees and trade partners on safe practices.” Seth Miezwa, Shingobee Safety Director
Safety is an ongoing priority at Shingobee Builders. All project managers, superintendents, carpenters, and laborers have completed OSHA 10-hour training, keep current on First Aid Training, and receive additional equipment training as required. Our Safety Policy and AWAIR policy are reviewed and updated annually. We place high importance on accurate record keeping for safety related items (i.e. OSHA 300 logs, employee training logs, SDS information) and continuously work to improve these systems. We also require all of our partners and trades to follow the same commitment toward worker safety and health.
Shingobee is dedicated to following all local, state, and national safety regulations whenever we are contributing our efforts to a project. We recognize that new codes and regulations are evolving and improving, and we keep up to date on each one. Through our progressive safety programs and techniques, we are continuing to raise the bar by applying innovative processes and the latest technology.
