Representatives from Shingobee Builders and Minnesota OSHA (MNOSHA) Compliance gathered on Friday, June 1, to sign a Level 3 Cooperative Compliance Partnership for the Phalen Village project in St. Paul, MN.

Provided under an agreement between MNOSHA Compliance and Associated Builders and Contractors Minnesota / North Dakota Chapter, the partnership recognizes contractors where managers and employees work together to develop safety and health management systems that go beyond basic compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, resulting in immediate and long-term prevention of job related injuries and illnesses.

Level 3 is the peak level of MNOSHA Compliance partnerships, with applicants striving to be an industry leader with comprehensive safety and health programs. This is the sixth project in which Shingobee Builders has participated in a Level 3 partnership. Others were the Residence Inn, Eagan; Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Woodbury; Courtyard Minneapolis West, St. Louis Park; Paradise Car Wash, Maple Grove; and International School Residence Hall, Eden Prairie.

Phalen Village is a retail and community redevelopment in St. Paul, anchored by an ALDI Food Market and an Entira Family Clinic. The location is the first Opportunity Zone project in the City of St. Paul, and is significant for the community benefits that are part of the project. Construction started in April 2019 and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
