Keith McDonald (R), Shingobee President / CEO, accepted the Construction Company of the Year award from ABC Chairman Kurt Scepaniak (L).

At its Annual Meeting on November 20, 2014, the MN/ND Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors recognized Shingobee Builders as their Construction Company of the Year. The award recognizes the outstanding efforts of the member company who contributed the most to ABC and Merit Shop over the past year.

In presenting the award, ABC Business Development Chair Mike Griesgraber read from a nomination letter submitted by Eric George, Shingobee Superintendent. “At Shingobee, you can feel that there is a genuine concern for both their employees and their clients.” Eric remarked on Shingobee’s commitment to safety, technology, its clients and subcontractors, and to employees and their families. He continued, “I learned something from Shingobee early on, and that is to ‘Lead by example.’ I feel I have learned many things from others at Shingobee that have done this, and I, too, lead by example in both my work environment and my personal life as a result.” Visit the ABC website for the full text of Eric George’s nomination letter.
